Bank’s activities with regard to corporate social responsibility are focused on education.
Children are our future customers. Their education is important for us. As an encouragement we offer an English-Sinhala Dictionary for those children who are holders of Lamadiriya Savings Accounts, when they pass the Grade 5 Scholarship examination.

As an indirect support for the Sunday Dhamma Schools, we sponsor programs among Dhamma School Children from time to time and make donations for their activities as and when requests are made by schools.Special programs are arranged during Vesak and Poson Festivals. A special programme named Mihindu Handa was launched among Dhamma Schools by conducting Art, Drama, Essay and Speakers Contests during the year 2009 to coincide with the 10th anniversary. Grassroots’ level organizations make requests from time to time for assistance for their service activities, considering the voluntary nature of their activities we render financial assistance.

I.C.U of the Eheliyagoda Base Hospital was renovated with our assistance and with the participation of staff members.

Twelve customers selected from the four districts were sent on an exposure visit to Bangalore, India under the guidance of NABARD, India.

Pre – School Teachers numbering more than 150 are being trained for One Year Diploma Course.
